Hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors recouped its $3.25 million investment during the week of August 19. Directed by Nicholas Hytner and written by Richard Bean, the show began its run at the Music Box Theatre on April 6, and is scheduled to end its limited engagement on September 2.
Starring James Corden in his Tony-winning role as Frances Henshall, the comedy follows the absent-minded oaf as he agrees to work for a local gangster, as well as a criminial in hiding. Both of his new bosses however are linked in a tangled web of schemes and romantic associations. The show earned seven Tony nominations.
In addition to Corden the comedy also stars Oliver Chris, Jemima Rooper, Tony nominee Tom Edden, Martyn Ellis, Trevor Laird, Claire Lams, Fred Ridgeway, Daniel Rigby, Suzie Toase, Brian Gonzales, Eli James, Ben Livingston, Sarah Manton, Stephen Pilkington, David Ryan Smith and Natalie Smith. The onstage band The Craze features Jacob Colin Cohen, Austin Moorhead, Jason Rabinowitz, Charlie Rosen, Matt Cusack and Zach Jones.
